What people are printing, and what it sells for
Every day: the top 100 models per category on MakerWorld and Printables, an Etsy sample for the same kind of item, and the catalogues of tracked Shopify stores. Downloads say what makers want; prices say what buyers pay.

How to read this
Demand is the sum of lifetime downloads across the 100 models each site ranks highest in that category today (MakerWorld by its hot score, Printables by likes in the last 7 days). Each is a sample of the category's head, not the whole category, and the site's ranking decides who is in it. Bars are scaled to the largest category in the column. 7-day change only counts models we have seen on at least two days, so it never mixes new entrants into the growth number.
New ≤7d is the share of today's MakerWorld top 100 that was published in the last seven days: how much of the category's attention goes to brand-new models. Etsy sold ≤7d is the share of the Etsy sample whose listing shows a sale in the last seven days. Both come from dates the sources publish, so they are real on day one. The demand map plots the first against demand for every category with a MakerWorld sample.
Etsy median is the middle price of a daily sample of up to 100 Etsy search results for that category, in the currency Etsy returned. Shipping is not included. Shopify median comes from the catalogues of the stores we track, mapped by product type; where a category spans several currencies, the band is computed in the one with the most products and labelled with it. Any band from fewer than 10 listings is withheld as too thin.
